Our Petroleum Elastomer products serve a wide range of applications in the upstream oil and gas market; from BOP pressure control products to wellhead and completions technologies, our range of elastomers meet the demanding requirements of the industry.

Freudenberg Flow Technologies utilizes in-house capabilities in developing elastomer compounds, for mixing of material and in manufacturing finish products. This ensures the highest quality of components and full traceability from component to finished product. Our global manufacturing footprint combined with our sales and service facilities located in key regional markets, allows us to provide local product and inventory support for our customers. 

Full range of materials

Our extensive portfolio of proprietary elastomeric compounds includes natural rubber, nitrile (NBR), hydrogentated butadiene (HNBR), FKM and FFKM compounds. GAZGUARD® is our proprietary RGD-resistant, Norsok compliant compounds.

Examples of our materials include:

  • FFKM 130, a high-performance material that offers premium environmental resilience in temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
  • FFKM 131, a steam-resistant grade elastomer with a wide operational temperature range up to 320°C (608°F).
  • API-6A FF/HH qualified materials
  • Base Resistant Elastomers (BREs)
  • Low-extrusion HNBRs

Cement Plugs

Freudenberg Flow Technologies is an industry leading manufacturer and provider of cement plugs to the global drilling and well completions sector. We stock many of the most in-demand sizes of cement plugs, from 2 3/8" to 13 3/8". Our cement plugs come in standard materials - natural rubber, synthetic nitrile compounds - and are available with easy drill-able phenolic cored plugs or aluminum and wood cored plugs.

FF/HH Certified Materials

Freudenberg Flow Technologies is a leader in elastomer and advanced thermoplastics materials technology, offering FF/HH materials qualified to API-6A 21st ed. F.1.13.5.2 and ISO 10423 F.1.11 standards.

FFKM 0130 OGT HPHT Advanced Elastomer

  • Wide operating temperature range from –6° C (21° F) to 250°C (482° F)
  • Excellent chemical resistance in many harsh chemical environments (e.g., caustics, strong acids, sour gases)
  • Excellent Extrusion resistance
  • Excellent RGD (Rapid Gas Decompression) resistance
  • Certified per API6A to FF/HH classification

FS Seals

  • Ideal for sealing large clearances, especially in wellhead-to-casing assemblies.
  • Reduces installation time and ensures correct placement.
  • Maintains sealing integrity under severe conditions like stab-in operations, wide temperature, and pressure ranges, and in chemically aggressive or abrasive media.
  • Available for API standard casing sizes from 2 7/8” to 30” diameter.
  • Tested to PR2 industry standards (API 16A and ISO 10423).

Gazguard® Elastomers

  • Excellent resistance to chemical attack from oils and fuels
  • Enhanced mechanical properties and abrasion resistance
  • Excellent resistance to oxygen and ozone weathering, and explosive decompression damage
  • HNBR, FKM and FFKM-based polymers available

S Seals

  • Engineered as an alternative to T Seals or O-Rings, utilizing a metal spring to support sealing across various extrusion gaps.
  • Primarily used in static services, with options for dynamic services when equipped with PEEK springs.
  • The one-piece design simplifies installation compared to multi-component seals.
  • Successfully pressure/temperature cycle tested in accordance with ISO 10423, Annex F.1.11 (Valve performance class PR2), highlighting their durability and reliability under extreme conditions.

T Seals

  • Suitable for stab and static applications, handling up to 15,000 psi and 210° C or higher.
  • Incorporates PEEK anti-extrusion rings for high pressure resilience and resistance to rolling.
  • Can be retrofitted into original O-ring grooves, available in three standard lengths.
  • Supplied in a wide range of materials, including proprietary Gazguard FKM 029 for RGD and H2S resistance.
