Freudenberg Flow Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of our innovative thermoplastic stem packing solution engineered for high-consequence valve applications across wellheads, refineries, and nuclear facilities. As industry and regulatory pressure intensifies around fugitive emissions and leakage control, conventional packing technologies such as graphite and U-cup designs have struggled to meet stringent API 6A PR2F validation requirements.
In response, the new packing system integrates advanced PEEK and PTFE materials with a dual spring-energized architecture, delivering consistent sealing performance under extreme temperature ranges (–50°F to 350°F), pressure cycling, and lifecycle wear. Designed for compatibility with standard valve packing cavities while accommodating custom configurations, the solution has been successfully validated in gate valve applications through rigorous internal testing with third-party witnessing and is now qualified and available for field deployment.
